What was the last thing that you purposefully postponed?
Maybe, it was calling an old friend - or doing the dishes - even beginning that book. How often do we say: ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’ - with little to no time to slow the treadmill of the wake-work cycle or, in the paralysing comfort of knowing that tomorrow will look & feel pretty similar to yesterday? In turn, we can put our hobbies, and the people we love on hold. In the face of the global humanitarian crisis in COVID-19, and the conflict in Ukraine, if there was ever a time to wake up and realise that we can’t keep postponing ‘today’ is now.
With this, we picked up the phone - reached out – walked & talked our way through Manchester’s metropolis; two friends inspired by our growing creative kommunity: ‘pseudokulture’. With two disposable cameras & 120 mm PORTRA film in hand, this is ‘pseuburbia’; our perspective of this city in a day. No kompass - no planned destination – just the want to step loose of the working week’s shackles, take a break & kreate.
